Nirupoma Hearing Hub successfully conducted its first hearing awareness program titled “Hearing Power: A Gift of Life” at Primary Government School, Sotai Ali, on 25th October 2025.
The session was led by Dr. Biswajit Gogoi, Founder Director of Nirupoma Foundation and ENT Surgeon from Guwahati, along with his dedicated team from NHH, Jorhat. The talk was attended by students, parents, and teachers, focusing on the importance of hearing care, early screening in babies and children, and the vital role of hearing in overall development and communication.
Participants actively engaged in the session, raising valuable questions and concerns regarding hearing loss and its management in children. Dr. Gogoi patiently addressed each query, encouraging families to prioritize early identification and timely intervention for better outcomes.
Teachers also expressed their observations about certain students showing possible signs of hearing difficulties and advised parents to avail the free hearing screening camp at NHH scheduled for 26th October 2025.
